Many people have no visible signs or symptoms of diabetes. The symptoms may be so mild that you may not notice. More than 5 million people in the U.S. have type 2 diabetes and not know it.

  •   Early symptoms may be nothing more than chronic fatigue, general weakness and discomfort        (malaise) 
  •   Excessive urine production
  •   Excessive thirst and increased fluid intake
  •   Blurred vision (typically of lens shape changes due to osmotic effects, for example, high levels of blood glucose)
  •   Unexplained weight loss
  •   lethargy
  •   Itching of the external genitalia
